Our Story

April 2014

The Battle of the Stitches began with the desire to bring a variety of Crochet Designers together in a positive and fun setting to showcase crochet stitches and talent.  As the owner of Battle of The Stitches, I have enjoyed collaborating designs with a variety of other designers over the last few years and starting this competition seemed to be a natural step forward in building relationships and businesses in the wonderful world of crochet.

This Battle begins with 10-12 Challengers and 4-5 Judges.  The challenge is to design something new using the same stitch and a theme.  All ideas and photos are kept secret until the judging is complete so that each design can be judged  strictly on the use of the stitch, theme and creativity. 

I appreciate all of our fans, challengers, judges and sponsors who helped to make the Battle of the Stitches such a success!  I'm thrilled that the Battle was so well received and that it can continue to grow.
