Round 7

Round 7 of the Battle of the Stitches ran the same way every round does: one crochet stitch and one theme were announced, and the challengers below had two to three weeks to design an original piece around them. Photographs were submitted unmarked, so the judging panel scored the designs without knowing whose work they were looking at.

Judges scored each design on four counts — best overall, best use of the stitch, best use of colour to show the stitch, and the most creative reading of the theme — while fans voted for their own favourite alongside them. Every finished pattern from this round is collected in the Round 7 eBook, and the individual patterns can be bought from the same page. The full rules are on Become A Challenger.
